There are 286 pieces included altogether. LEGO released this set in 2007 and it is sold out in stores. Other accessories include a pretend spear gun and alternate service cap for the pilot. Third, there is an LEGO R2-D2 droid with printed detail on dome and body components, and tilting leg pieces.

Second, there is a Naboo fighter pilot with brown flight helmet with black goggles, torso decorated with jacket and harness design, and reddish brown legs with gray hips as shown in the ToysPeriod LEGO reference database. Three unique LEGO Star Wars minifigures are included namely a child Anakin Skywalker with buff colored hair, freckled face, torso decorated with tan tunic/robe and belt pattern, and short legs.

The LEGO model of the Vulture-Class Droid Starfighter built with this set can stand upright on the 'legs' or they can be reconfigured as wings for pretend flight. But, Anakin will have no trouble taking this out. The 'real ship' has four blaster cannons and two energy torpedo launchers, can move at up to 1200 KPH, and has the somewhat creepy ability to walk on four legs over land. Generally, these droid-powered fighters were no match for a skilled human pilot, so up to 1500 of them were deployed at once to compensate for what they lacked in wits.

The second ship that this set constructs is a Vulture-Class Droid Starfighter as used by the Trade Federation and later the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Star Wars universe. The set also builds a clever detachable stand and pilot boarding ladder for when the ship is on the ground. There is also a working spring-loaded launcher on the underside with a rubber-capped 'torpedo.'Īnother interesting feature of the N-1 model is that it has a trap door at the back where the droid can drop out. The sleek center area of the craft has the pilot's cockpit with copper/red/silver 'control panel' decorated LEGO tile as shown in the ToysPeriod LEGO set reference, smoked 'glass' hatch and LEGO droid in back. The LEGO model of the Naboo N-1 Starfighter is true to the design of the 'real thing,' with a broad wingspan at the tip of which are large cylindrical pretend engines with retro-looking antennae extending out the back. In the fiction, the fighter has deflector shields, twin laser cannons and an astromech droid to assist the pilot. The Naboo N-1 Starfighter was used by the planet of Naboo for defense and other duties, and is most memorably seen in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace when a very young Anakin Skywalker pilots one of these ships in the space battle portion of the Battle of Naboo. Build a Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter and Vulture-Class Droid Starfighter with this classic LEGO set from the Star Wars theme.
